Weekend !
2005, November 5th, 9:00am (15:00 MEZ)
A beautiful sunny morning,

96F, no A/C. this would be the perfect day to go to the beach and cool down a bit in the Gulf stream. To bad that's not really an option as most beaches are still closed. The problem is an unhealthy level of bacteria. Power outages have caused the sewer system to 'malfunction' and in turn the clean waters off our pearly white beaches are not so clean these days.

Pain

While the flow of gasoline slowly returns back to normal, other problems rear their ugly head. While most hospitals are back online, a large number of smaller private practices and emergency rooms are still unavailable. Either the doc and his staff have to take care of their own damaged homes, or power and even some medicines are simply not available. In addition, some locations have been so severely damaged that they can not be occupied. As a result, several doctors have set up makeshift tents in their parkinglot to treat their patients.
Now please open wide and say "Aaaaaah" :-)

No Guacamole

More cleanup work in the yard has shown that any hope of fresh guacamole is misplaced. The 40ft avocado tree didn't have a chance against the forces of hurricane Wilma. Max isn't going to like that!
